Data Integrity Prioritized

Most charting platforms trust data providers blindly, using no validation layer. Broker platforms are often worse, since charting is secondary to execution. If a provider does not offer native intervals, then the charting platform must re-bucket the data properly to avoid corruption, using bars from lower timeframes to build bars in higher timeframes. This process is incredibly important. A single bucketing mistake can make an entire price series look completely different from how it should.

Not only does Dreamchart use Twelvedata - which supplies exclusively native bars - it also uses an ingenious system for verifying data that runs on every chart refresh. This system records token location, token type, the event count within the viewport, and the H/L range of neighboring candles and compares with the previous refresh. If price spikes wildly, or if the viewport details change, the data verify fails.

Super Trendlines and Range Candles

Tokenized values can often be used for anchoring ultra-accurate trendlines. Since our platform detects these automatically, drawing trendlines properly is a snap. Also, since events are formed at candle tips, Dreamchart uses range candles, bypassing O/C data. This produces a simple streamlined chart that's more visually appealing, renders faster, and gives the trader all the visual data he really needs.
